48V Golf Cart Batteries
The 48V golf cart battery class is the most widely used voltage in the golf cart market, and it is the class HHS Energy lists with its most detailed stated specification. The 48V product is built on lithium iron phosphate cells with a nominal system voltage of 51.2V, stated capacity of 105Ah with 72Ah and 160Ah options, dimensions of 457 by 332 by 239 mm and weight of about 42 kg. Cycle life is stated at 3,500 cycles, protection at IP65, and charging at 0.5C standard and 1.0C fast with a CC-CV method.
The electrical platform matches the rest of the golf cart range: 200A discharge current adjustable to customer requirements, peak currents of 300A for 45 seconds and 500A for 30 seconds, charging from 0°C to +45°C, discharging from -20°C to +60°C and storage from -20°C to +60°C. A charge display, Bluetooth and charger can be included, and the stated warranty is 5 years or more. Optional features include Bluetooth, a buzzer, heating, communication protocols and GPS, and OEM and ODM orders are accepted.
Buyers comparing 48V options should check three things against their cart: the physical size of the battery compartment against the stated 457 by 332 by 239 mm dimensions, the capacity needed for the route length against the 72Ah, 105Ah and 160Ah options, and the discharge requirement against the 200A stated current.
